Sadly, this is my last video post for the RC Vlog. I've decided to retire from Restaurant City. Some might say that I've quit, but that word carries with it a lot of negative connotations. So, I prefer the term, "retire." The game has been good to me, but it's time to move on. I was only planning on playing until this August, and I figured if I gave myself six months, why not stop now.
I can't thank all of you enough for following the RC Vlog. Perhaps you came for the free giveaways, but I hope you stayed for the content. I tried to create original content that you couldn't find anywhere else. This blog wasn't just a "Hey, there's free Leek on the Fan Page today. Click on me!" It was more.
I've given all of my things to the Kick Starter Project, in hopes to help the future of the game. As we all know, the future of RC are the players who haven't yet started playing. For any FB game to live on, it needs continuous players willing to give the game a decent chance. So I'm sorry if you expected some gigantic giveaway. I just don't have the time.
I've unfriended a lot of RC players. Please don't take this the wrong way. It doesn't mean that I'm mad at you. I just want to move on with my life, which means not getting the hundreds of free gifts and ingredients.
If you've just found the RC Vlog, I'm sorry that it's over. Feel free to check out some of the older videos for tips and theme reviews.
So, again, thanks for watching all of the videos and commenting on the blog. The purpose of this blog was to make the game better and to give out things to players in the fastest way possible. I hope that I helped a few of you. I wish I could have helped you all.
My last video is a Question and Answer video with some of my thoughts on the game. The camera is a bit shaky, but it's because I was walking around my campus. You can also get a glimpse of my indoor pool.
And for any Playfish employees, I've given a few suggestions in the video on how to make RC a better game because, honestly, Zynga is dominating the FB gaming market. If RC is going to make it beyond other failed titles, like Crazy Planets and Geo Challenge, it has to change now. I know PF has EA to financially back it, but the competition among FB games will only get fiercer. There is no longer room for mediocrity.
Thanks for all of the great memories and friendships I've been able to make over the past months. I'll leave the un-updated RC Vlog up, so feel free to introduce it to your friends. Perhaps they are curious about the game and can be persuaded to play one day. Have fun, keep on cooking, and keep on living.
